Volunteer Wellington is proud to be hosting a Governance Mentoring Programme, for the first time in Wellington to support and strengthen community leaders in the non-profit sector.
The mentoring model has been designed to increase participants’ effectiveness in community governance by developing capability, connection and confidence. Each mentee will be matched with a mentor who has strong not-for-profit governance experience and whose skills overlap with their current needs. All mentees and mentors will be supported by the programme coordinator.
Who should register for the programme?
MENTEES: Anyone currently sitting on a governance board or committee with a community organisation who is wanting to grow and develop their effectiveness and confidence in their governance role (and capability for potential future roles in our community)
MENTORS:
Community members with strong not-for-profit governance experience
and skills, with a passion for sharing their knowledge to benefit our
local community organisations.
The programme is running from 12 September 2023 to April 2024.
Spaces are limited so act now! Expressions of interest close on 7 August.
Register your expression of interest now to become a mentor (The mentee registraton has closed)
The
programme is delivered by Volunteer Wellington in partnership with
the Mentoring Foundation of NZ and Community Governance NZ.
