Suzanne Aubert Compassion Centre is the oldest soup kitchen in New Zealand, operating in Wellington since 1891 with a spirit of love, care, and compassion for all who come through its doors. Reliable transport is essential to getting meals and supplies where they are needed most.
This volunteer opportunity involves being available on call to drive for the Centre when their regular drivers are unavailable, using your own vehicle to support meal delivery and other transport needs. A clean driver's licence and your own insured vehicle are required. The commitment is irregular and ad hoc.
What you'll bring:
• A current, full NZ driver's licence and own insured vehicle
• Flexibility and willingness to be available on call
• Compassionate and reliable manner
You might be a great fit if you are:
• Flexible and responsive when called upon
• Motivated by supporting Wellington's most vulnerable community members
• Reliable and a safe driver
Training Provided: Details to be confirmed with the organisation.
