ChangeMakers Resettlement Forum walks alongside refugee background communities in the greater Wellington region, working towards full participation in Aotearoa New Zealand for all. For women from refugee backgrounds, gaining a driver's licence can be transformative, opening doors to work, education, and independence.
This volunteer opportunity involves taking a woman from a refugee background community out for driving practice once or twice a week in the Porirua area, under the guidance of the driving instructor and programme coordinator who provide full support. Female volunteers are specifically sought for this programme, so that women learner drivers feel comfortable and safe during their practice sessions.
What you'll bring:

• Full New Zealand driver's licence
• Calm, confident, and patient driver
