English Language Partners Hutt helps people from refugee and migrant backgrounds learn the English they need to participate in their communities, find work, and live independent lives in Aotearoa New Zealand. Language is the key that unlocks belonging, and a volunteer home tutor can make an enormous difference to a person's confidence and future.
This volunteer opportunity involves delivering a one-to-one, non-formal ESOL programme with a learner in their home in Upper Hutt, for one to two hours each week. Full training is provided before commencing, and a commitment of at least six months is preferred.
What you'll bring:
• Native or near-native English speaker
• Patience and clear communication skills
• No formal teaching qualification required
