Kaicycle is an urban farm, composting, and community activation charity in Poneke Wellington, modelling how to transform the food system, lock carbon in Wellington's soils, and create green jobs for the community. Every volunteer shift contributes directly to building a more sustainable city.

This volunteer opportunity involves hands-on farm work including seed-raising, planting, watering, mulching, weeding, compost-turning, and minor repairs. Regular working bees run Tuesdays and Fridays from 10am to 12pm, and Thursday evenings from 5pm to 7pm. Volunteers with specialist skills in marketing, social media, building, or plumbing are also warmly welcomed.

What you'll bring:
• Enthusiasm for urban farming, composting, and sustainable kai systems
• Willingness to turn your hand to a variety of outdoor tasks
• Physical fitness for hands-on farm work

You might be a great fit if you are:
• Passionate about food systems, sustainability, and climate action
• Energetic, curious, and happy to learn on the job
• Community-minded and reliable for regular sessions

Training Provided: Details to be confirmed with the organisation.
