Men and Trauma New Zealand works across Aotearoa with people who have experienced abuse and trauma, providing counselling, therapy, and support. The Wellington office at Mt Cook is often the first point of contact for people reaching out for help, and Front of House volunteers play a vital role in making that experience safe and welcoming.

This volunteer opportunity involves answering phone calls, welcoming guests with warmth and calm, providing compassionate assistance to people reaching out, and supporting light administrative tasks to keep the space welcoming and organised. A minimum of three hours per week Monday to Friday is expected, and a police vetting check is required. Full support is provided throughout.

What you'll bring:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• A calm, compassionate manner in emotionally sensitive situations
• Comfort with basic administrative tasks and answering calls

You might be a great fit if you are:
• Grounded, empathetic, and professional under pressure
• Warm and welcoming as the first point of contact for vulnerable people
• Discreet, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality

Training Provided: Full support provided throughout, including orientation and on-the-job guidance.
