Riding for the Disabled provides interaction with horses to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for people experiencing disability, illness, or injury. At the Wellington RDA centre at Pauatahanui, volunteers help ensure disabled riders can access transformative equine-assisted experiences.
This volunteer opportunity involves helping with horses during Riding for the Disabled sessions at the Pauatahanui centre, including leading horses, supporting riders, and assisting with horse care. Sessions run weekly during school terms. A police check is required.
