Men and Trauma New Zealand is one of New Zealand's leading mental health agencies, providing counselling, therapy, therapeutic support groups, and peer support for people from diverse backgrounds who have experienced abuse and trauma. Trained volunteer Intervention Specialists extend the reach of this vital work into communities.

This volunteer opportunity involves completing training as a Trauma Intervention Specialist and then facilitating support groups for people experiencing the impacts of trauma, ideally within communities that share your lived experience or background. A maximum commitment of four hours per week is expected, and the organisation actively seeks volunteers from a diverse range of communities and backgrounds.

What you'll bring:
• Lived experience of or connection to a community impacted by trauma (valued)
• Willingness to complete the full Trauma Intervention Specialist training
• Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills
