Orange Sky New Zealand supports individuals and whanau experiencing homelessness and hardship by providing free laundry and shower services alongside genuine, warm conversation. The Orange Sky model is built on the belief that a caring interaction is just as important as clean clothes.

This volunteer opportunity involves being part of the weekly Orange Sky team at a Wellington location, helping set up the van (connecting power, hoses to water and waste, putting out chairs), loading and unloading washers and dryers, and most importantly, being a welcoming, non-judgmental presence where anyone is free to connect, chat, and feel valued. Own transport to the shift location is needed.
