Kiwi Community Assistance (KCA) is dedicated to reducing food waste and inequality across Greater Wellington by rescuing surplus food and redirecting it to communities in need. Every Monday morning rescue run prevents good food from going to landfill and puts it in the hands of families.

This volunteer opportunity involves driving KCA's refrigerated food rescue truck on Monday mornings from a Grenada North base, collecting food from New World Newlands, New World Churton Park, and New World Porirua, checking use-by dates, boxing and weighing food, recording details digitally, and returning rescued food to the KCA warehouse. A minimum three-month commitment is requested, with no requirement on public holidays.

What you'll bring:
• A current, full NZ driver's licence
• Own transport to the Grenada North base
• Attention to detail and reliable record-keeping

You might be a great fit if you are:
• Organised, reliable, and motivated by community impact
• Comfortable driving a refrigerated truck across multiple stops
• Consistent and committed to a regular weekly role

Training Provided: Details to be confirmed with the organisation.
