ChangeMakers Resettlement Forum walks alongside refugee background communities in the greater Wellington region, working towards full participation in Aotearoa New Zealand for all. For many former refugees, gaining a driver's licence is a critical step towards employment, independence, and a fuller life in their new home.

This volunteer opportunity involves supporting a former refugee to develop their driving skills through two one-hour practice sessions per week in Wellington City over approximately 16 to 20 weeks. A dual control practice car is provided, and full training and support are available for volunteer mentors. Mentors must have held their full New Zealand licence for two or more years.
