Newtown Community and Cultural Centre (Te Whare Hapori o ngā Puna Waiora) is a vibrant Wellington community hub that aims to bring people together and make a great community. The centre's popular Tool Library lends tools to community members, and electrical safety is essential to keeping it safe and accessible.

This volunteer opportunity is for a certified Tag and Tester to inspect the Tool Library's electrical equipment every three months, ensuring all tools meet current safety standards. Sessions take approximately two to four hours, once every three months. Access to a Portable Appliance Tester (PAT) machine is a bonus.

What you'll bring:
• Current certification as a Tag and Tester
• PAT machine (an advantage, though not required)
• Reliability for a quarterly commitment

You might be a great fit if you are:
• Qualified and confident in electrical testing
• Self-directed and able to work through a checklist independently
• Community-minded and want to contribute a practical skill

Training Provided: Details to be confirmed with the organisation.
