Parent Help Wellington provides a confidential helpline for parents, caregivers, and whanau across Aotearoa, offering a safe, supportive space to seek guidance and talk through the challenges of parenting. Helpline volunteers are at the frontline of this mahi, being the first caring voice a parent hears.

This volunteer opportunity involves answering calls to the Parent Help helpline, assessing callers' needs, and providing empathetic telephone support and information. The helpline operates 9am to 9pm, seven days a week, and volunteers are rostered onto regular shifts. A social work or counselling background is ideal, and for those in tertiary study, hours may count towards placement.
