Citizens Advice Bureau is a nationwide, locally based community organisation helping people know and understand their rights and obligations, providing the confidence and support they need to take action. At CAB Porirua, skilled volunteer advisors meet a genuine need for accessible, free information in the community.

This volunteer opportunity involves listening carefully to clients' stories, researching their rights and responsibilities, and clearly explaining the information so clients can understand their options and make their own decisions. Volunteers commit to one three-hour shift per week. A volunteer induction period and monthly training sessions keep skills and knowledge current.
