Community Law Wellington and Hutt Valley is passionate about ensuring that everyone in Aotearoa, regardless of financial means, has genuine access to justice and legal equality. Volunteer lawyers are the backbone of their free legal advice drop-in sessions, contributing directly to upholding community mana and supporting social change.

This volunteer opportunity involves providing free legal advice to community members at drop-in sessions in Lower Hutt, across general law or specialist areas such as employment, family, immigration, tenancy, ACC, insurance, criminal law, and land transport. A minimum one-year commitment is requested, and lawyers are welcome to contribute weekly, fortnightly, or monthly.

What you'll bring:
• Current New Zealand practising certificate (or eligible for one)
• Experience in any non-commercial area of law
• Specialist experience in employment, family, immigration, tenancy, ACC, insurance, criminal law, or land transport is an advantage
