We have a range of roles available supporting all our animals!

  • Wildlife & Rural Department - For the nature buffs who want to support a range of animals - from our charming pigs and cheeky goats to the local wildlife that calls our sanctuary home.
  • Horse Department - For those who have a soft spot for our equine friends, our resident miniature horses are ready to charm you with their tiny hooves and big personalities.

    Love horses? Love people? Got a spare few hours every week? Then we would love your help! The Wellington Group Riding for the Disabled, is based at Battle Hill Farm Park, Paekakariki Hill Road, Pauatahanui. We work with people with disabilities, helping them gain from the therapeutic benefits of horse-riding. We need people to help out for full or part days. We operate during the school term, Tuesday to Saturday. There's loads of variety and lots to learn - plus we have lots of fun!
