Shakti provides services for refugee and migrant women who have suffered from domestic violence. We help them to recover from the abuse and to learn how to live independently in NZ. SDETAT (Sustainable Development Education and Training Advisory Trust) is a part of Shakti that aims to make women aware of domestic violence, and to empower the women and to educate them on their rights so they can adjust to NZ society. We are looking for women to provide childcare for our clients while they are studying at our courses. The courses are every Tuesday from 10am to 12pm at Petone Community House in Lower Hutt. There are only a few children, and you will be taking care of them while their mothers study in the room next door. The course is in progress. The next class is Tuesday 13th February 2024.
