Drivers for Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels are desperately needing reliable volunteers to deliver meals to people in the Hutt Valley community. There are currently 8 runs available throughout the Hutt with an urgent need for the Wainui run. Reimbursement monthly. Also looking for people available as back up drivers. (Reimbursements are paid at $10 for 4 runs per month in Lower Hutt and per delivered meal in Upper Hutt)

Based in Lower Hutt this role involves weeding and mulching. Using a shovel to load the wheelbarrow with mulch and moving the mulch to various areas of the site. Using a rake to spread the mulch.

This organisation is looking for Community Mentors to be part of their two amazing programmes, Skills2live (for families with children) and Whanau Connect (babies and toddlers).

These programmes support those who are wanting to embark on a journey of change.

Kaitiaki - mentoring will provide opportunities for people to share their life skills, experience and knowledge with individuals/whanau/families who ask for support to develop skills in the area of home management, cooking, positive parenting practices - in fact anything involving the running of a household.
