We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Volunteer 2D Animation Voice Singer to support the Toi Whakapapa Educational Programme!

Our organisation is looking for a voice actor to provide character vocal performances for a series of 2D animated educational videos. These animations will help tangata explore the stories of their ancestors, learn the importance of whakapapa, and build confidence in sharing these journeys with whaanau and the wider community.

The voice singer will be responsible for recording both voiceover and vocal/singing content across a series of completed 2D animated videos, based on existing scripts and storyboards, used in both in-person classroom and online learning environments.

Tasks include:
1. Reviewing and familiarising yourself with finalised scripts and character briefs across all animation videos.
2. Recording rough voice passes for each clip for review and feedback.
3. Ensuring that all content touching Maaori themes, including pronunciation of te reo Maaori, is reviewed and approved by the LIFE Trust team before final delivery.

  • Client Assessment Support - EMBRACE Programme

    The volunteer will support the EMBRACE Programme at Aotearoa Refugee and Migrant Support Services (ARMSS) by conducting structured client assessments with people from ethnic and migrant communities. The volunteer will guide clients through a set of assessment questions, record their responses using the programme's assessment tool, and help identify their skills, needs, and employment readiness. Assessments may be conducted in person, online, or by phone depending on client needs.

    The information collected through these assessments helps ARMSS staff develop appropriate support plans, connect clients to employment and training opportunities, and ensure they receive the right services.     Soup Team Lead Volunteer

    Newtown Community Centre are on the look out for more volunteers who can help lead our Free Soup Friday team in the kitchen.

    This role is responsible for preparing large batches of multiple soups, garlic bread and salads and instructing a team of volunteers to make kai for 30+ people.

    Free Soup Friday is a weekly event at the community centre, where we provide a free lunch soup to whoever needs it. You will be helping to feed people while they come together for this communal meal.

    We are currently seeking a qualified and compassionate Volunteer Art Therapist to support the emotional and psychological wellbeing components of the Toi Whakapapa Educational Programme.
    An art therapist is a trained mental health professional who uses the creative process of art-making, combined with psychotherapy techniques, to help individuals improve their mental, emotional, and social wellbeing. Within our programme, the Art Therapist will facilitate safe, structured creative sessions that enable Work and Income Clients - Maaori and non-Maaori, particularly aged 20+, to explore identity, whakapapa, belonging, and personal narratives, particularly where emotions or experiences may be difficult to verbalise.
    The Art Therapist will ensure that creative activities are delivered within a therapeutic framework that prioritises psychological safety, process over product, and culturally grounded practice. They will support Work and Income Clients in expressing thoughts, memories, and emotions through visual media while guiding reflective discussion in age-appropriate ways.

    This role requires clinical training in art therapy and the ability to integrate therapeutic practice with kaupapa Maaori values, ensuring sessions are mana-enhancing, trauma-informed, and developmentally appropriate.

    The Street Appeal collection is one of the major events during the year to raise money to help keep the Mary Potter Hospice services free and to raise awareness of its services.

    A driver (or driving team) is responsible for managing the safe collection of funds on the day of the Street Appeal from the Appeal Area/Site Coordinators to the bank/Hospice. The driving team will follow a predetermined route making pickups along the way. They will deliver the labelled buckets from the collection points to the count team at the bank/Hospice.

    We are looking for a volunteer to drive a small mobility van to take Huntleigh residents (predominantly two - one who owns the van) to wherever they need to go. The van is based at Huntleigh and there is comprehensive insurance for any driver over 25.

    Volunteer will need to be over 25 years of age for insurance purposes.

    Activities Assistant - Lyall Bay
